Martin Laimer ist Dermatologe an der Universitätshautklinik Salzburg und arbeitet seit 18 Jahren klinisch und wissenschaftlich zum Thema Seltene Erkrankungen. Er ist Ko-Vorsitzender des Vorstandes des Zentrums für Seltene Krankheiten Salzburg, koordiniert das interdisziplinären Board für Seltene Erkrankungen und leitet das Studienzentrum des EB Haus Austria, des ersten national designierten Expertisezentrums für die Versorgung von PatientInnen, die unter der Genodermatose Epidermolysis bullosa leiden.
